It looks like the meeting between Justin Bieber and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been cancelled – and it looks like it might be Bieber’s fault.

Israeli news reports that Bieber refused to meet with a group of children who had survived a rocket attack in Gaza. In turn, Netanyahu said he would not meet with the singer.

Bieber’s people don’t exactly deny that Bieber did not meet with the children, but indicated there had been a scheduling problem that prevented the meeting.

Bieber’s press guy says,

"Justin welcomes the chance to meet with kids facing difficult circumstances, regardless of their background, and in fact, he has already invited children from the Sderot area to be his guests with other fans at his concert in Tel Aviv on Thursday night."

True. In fact, Justin is inviting kids to see his show free – over 700 of them. Bieber’s staff has made over 700 free tickets available to the same children he was supposed to meet with. We suspect this is just a massive communication breakdown somewhere but – no harm no foul. Let it go.

Either way, it is turning out to be a hectic visit for the pop sensation. Just this morning he was hounded by photographers as he tried to attend church with his parents.

Bieber has told reporters he is taking a few days to see some of the historical sights the Holy Land has to offer. Both his mother and father have joined him on his visit to Israel.
